"I've been wanting to get my doctoral degree for 10+ years, but nothing felt right to me as I did my research. Attending an RBI graduation spoke to my soul and said, "This is it. You belong here." My experience at RBI has gone beyond all of my expectations. The course curriculum is so diverse. It's always based on biblical principles but centered on real-life experiences as well.
Writing a dissertation while also attending classes was a major shock to my system. It was very intense. But, I kept reminding myself this is what I wanted, and I was able to achieve all I set out to do. Procrastination has always been a major problem for me when doing course work. I've always waited until the last minute to write papers during my Masters degree program and was very successful at it. The doctoral program did not allow me that luxury. There was a clear process that needed to be followed. Since I couldn't wait to get things done, I was pushed...in a very good way. While I was challenged, I felt accomplished. The support from the administrative team, instructors, and the chancellor have been top tier. You can feel the passion and the want for all students to succeed and thrive. "My journey has been one of growth, stretching, and transformation. I have faced seasons where I struggled with self-control, fear, and overthinking. For a long time, I found myself withdrawn, quiet, reserved, and hesitant to fully step into who God created me to be. I allowed fear to silence my voice and keep me hidden, even when I knew God was calling me forward. Eventually, I realized I could no longer stay where I was and still become who God called me to be, so it was time to move out of my own way.

Throughout my journey, God has pressed and stretched me in ways that were uncomfortable but necessary. In the pressing, He developed my character, and in the stretching, He increased my capacity. What once felt like pressure, I now understand as preparation. Being a part of this Bible Institute has helped me discover my "why" and gain a clear understanding of my purpose. With the help of the chancellor, Dr. King, and my instructors, I now know what it truly means to be a disciple—not just in words, but through obedience, discipline, and the way I live and serve daily."
